    TMNF Review Empty TMNF Review

Post by phatprick Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:46 am

I dont know how many times i have been asked to move to TMNF because its "better" and has more players, and i remember Dell saying something about TMN not being supported anymore... Thats true, so i tried to search about some TMN competitions, championships, leagues... anything, just to spice up our gaming activity. And the more i searched, the more results i got for TMNF, absolutely nothing for TMN!
So, i installed TMNF again after almost a year now, which i previously uninstalled just after 2-3 minutes of playing, and decided to give it another shot! I was getting repulsed by the minute, couldnt stand to play it any longer than 10 minutes!

    TMNF Review Notmnf10

    And here is why:

    1) -- Menu interface is somehow childish, but ok, im not here to look at the interface all day, im here to play, so i entered some random server.

    2) -- But as i was just trying to enter any server, i found myself in the JUNGLE of nations, provinces, servers, players... a loong way just to enter the server.

    3) -- Font! OMG the font must be the ugliest they could of used for a game! I wouldnt even bother reading the chat by how ugly it looked!

    4) -- Screen was taken over by widgets, left, top, right... your driving screen is smaller by 30% just because of all that junk!

    5) -- Graphics are waaaaaay to shiny, just childish! Night mode stadium is too dark, and when i dropped the graphic quality down a notch, then it looked waaay too plastic.

    6) -- Driving was something completely different, i would need some time to adopt to it, but brake was little bit too hard, not on what i used to. Quickly pressing enter to get back at start and starting over left me confused, since with enter you are just respawning (continuing from the last checkpoint).

    7) -- Maps are full of junk scenery, palms, water, dirt, air-baloons... I mean, cmon! if nothing before that wasnt childish, maps would knock you down!

    8) -- It took me 2 and a half years to get a satisfying rank in TMN, and starting over in TMNF just doesnt come in mind!

    9) -- Since i (and now many others) bought a key to authentificate the TMN account, we would have to buy United key in order to share data like custom car skin and avatar with others in TMNF, and prices are hilarious! $12.99 for 6 months or $39.99 for unlimited time!

    10) -- So all in all, the feel, the experience and the look are totally repulsing!

    My score: 0/10

I have NO clue why are people playing this game, and i am just happy that there are still enough players in TMN to have some fun!

    TMN >>> FOREVER!

Just one thing that phat said..
I think the brake is very good set up on Forever
    It is perfect for slide.
I hate the brake here is Tmn! :@
And i dont know in which server you played.
But there are a lot of awesome servers on TMNF.
    So my rating is 9/10!
But still i dont suggest to go to TMNF,this is just my opinion!

I would never like to move to tmnf cuz of all the time i have spent in tmn and skills i got to now.I have also played tmnf, but just for a few days cause i just didn't like the way of playing it.The difference between TMN and TMNF for me are like sky and earth so I totally agree with phat...

ok i gave TMNF another chance! i played for 2 and a half hours, got from rank 6 000 000 to 470 000 and i was really trying to like it! But the more i played, the more dissapointed i got!

And now REALLY frustrated, i give the score of -1/10!
I really dont know how can you give this 9/10, doesnt deserve even a 0.01/10

the reason why we should't move to tmnf is the people, not the game. people know us in tmn and the people are a lot more nicer than in tmnf.

Highly doubtful... Most mail providers support up to 20-30MB... you would have to use hosting service which supports 300MB uploads, .exe files...
but good luck with that, most of them (if any) supports .exe files upload, so you would need to either rename the .exe to .ex, or zip the archive (maybe even double zip)
if you are renaming .exe, dont forget to tell the recipient to rename back to .exe Razz

i tried to DL tmn from that link i suggested to kam, with no problems whatsoever...
if he cant dl, then its something wrong on his end (pc, router, isp...)
